My process is to paint colors, shapes, and textures that are inspired by nature, music, and design. I sometimes straddle the fence between realism and abstraction. Memory plays a major role in the formation of the abstract compositions. I often use visual elements from design and geometry to create an image that has balance and movement. I hope to engage the viewer by delivering a visual aesthetic that communicates my experiences in natural and built environments. My major influencers include Paul Klee, Richard Diebenkorn, Joseph Albers, and Neil Welliver. I have recently been working with acrylics on watercolor paper, stretched canvas, wood panel and digital images posted to social media and Giclée printing. My work is in private collections and public spaces.
